MacBook Pro 14-inch & 16-inch - M1 Pro / M1 Max

This is a proper redesign. The Touch Bar is gone, replaced by physical function keys and a full-size row of ports including HDMI, SD card, and MagSafe charging. Both sizes get a mini-LED display with ProMotion up to 120Hz, which makes scrolling and video look exceptionally smooth. The M1 Pro and M1 Max chips are built for people who actually push their hardware: the Max configuration supports up to 64 GB of unified memory and 32 GPU cores. A notch houses the 1080p webcam, which is a significant upgrade over the 720p camera in older models. Battery life on the 16-inch is Apple's best yet, easily lasting a full workday under real use. If you need a Mac that can handle demanding professional software, this generation is the reason to upgrade.
